The 34th Edition titled The Great American Songbook continues the Jazz Vocal series.

Started in 2022 by one of the pioneers of jazz in the city, Jagadeesh M R, Director of The Bangalore School of Music and founder of MoonArra World Fusion Ensemble, this is a monthly event, designed to building a community of jazz musicians in the city and foster a culture of creativity. It is a platform to connect with each other and audiences through jam sessions, lecture demonstrations and performances. The project has fostered a faithful community of musicians who participate and interact freely with younger jazz aspirants while audiences get a rare opportunity to watch, listen and understand the creative processes in jazz.

This month Café Jazz continues to celebrate the voices. The unofficial but popular golden age of The American songbook contains songs that were released roughly in the period between1920s upto the 1950s preserving some of the most memorable songscomposed by some great composers using beautiful melodies and lush jazz harmonies and sung and interpreted by greatjazz vocalists of the era and even today.
