Care-tharsis has been a flagship program of First Drop Theatre for the last 8 years and we bring to you another episode in this journey. Caregiving - Behind the visible act of giving and receiving care, lies many invisible stories. These are stories of sacrifice, bonding, challenges, triumphs, frustration, satisfaction, and more. Stories that need to be heard! Through this performance, we invite you to join us and share your real-life stories about caregiving or receiving; stories where you have been a caregiver to someone or perhaps you have been cared for by someone - as a parent, child, spouse, partner, friend, relative. Our actors will reflect your stories, on-the-spot! Playback Theatre - Magical, creative, thought-provoking, reflective, unscripted...just like life itself. A format of improvisational, interactive theatre where the actors use their creativity and skill, to present an engaging and sensitive retelling of the audience members` story, on-the-spot in an authentic and respectful manner, using text, poetry, movement, metaphors, music and more!
