Choir
An all-male voices ensemble launched in January of 2016, it consists of 20 singers, all with many years of previous experience singing in choirs. Since the start of the choir, they have done more than 70 concerts all over the country in churches and cathedrals, at NCPA Mumbai with the Symphony Orchestra of India, at IIC New Delhi, Bangalore International Centre and at the Jaganmohan Palace, Mysore.
Cappella Bangalore
Choir
An all-female voices choir, with 24 members, they all have previous experience of singing in choir, and with high ambitions. Their first public performance was in February 2020, participating together with The Bangalore Men, where they performed the finale of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy together with Austrian-based piano professor Ms. Marialena Fernandes. Since then, the choir has done multiple performances in and around Bangalore as well as at NCPA Mumbai and in Pondicherry.
Jonas Olsson
Conductor
A resident of Bangalore for over a decade, Jonas Olsson has performed extensively in India, predominantly with a Lieder-repertoire, singing the classics by Schubert, Schumann et al, but also introducing pieces by Scandinavian composers to the audience. Since June2024 he is Artistic Director with Legato School of Music, Bangalore.
Rebecca Thomas Colaco
Pianist
Rebecca Thomas Colaco is Academic Director of Legato School of Music, where she also teaches piano and also excels as an accompanist. In addition, she also runs a highly successful ‘Early Music’ program for little children, and provides music therapy to special needs persons. She is passionate about everything piano – and has been collaborating with the choirs since many years.
