Event Description

Chowman Welcomes the Year of the Horse with a Grand Chinese New Year Feast Across South India As the lunar calendar turns its page, Chowman gallops into the Year of the Horse with a specially curated Chinese New Year menu that celebrates strength, prosperity, elegance and abundance — the very qualities the Horse symbolizes in Chinese tradition. This year’s theme is rooted in vitality and forward movement. Much like the Horse, known for its spirited energy and grace, the menu reflects bold flavours, dynamic textures, and a generous spread crafted to mark new beginnings in the most delicious way possible. In what is perhaps one of the most expansive and affordable Chinese New Year celebratory menus in South India, Chowman brings together an indulgent selection of festive specials — thoughtfully curated to honour authenticity while delighting the modern palate. The Festive Highlights The celebratory spread begins with indulgent starters like: Prawn & Pork Wonton in Sichuan Chilli Oil Delicate wontons filled with prawn and pork, bathed in aromatic Sichuan chilli oil, finished with spring onions. Garlicky, gently spicy and deeply comforting — a festive classic elevated. Stir-Fried Pak Choi with Tofu & Shiitake Mushroom A wholesome white garlic gravy-based preparation featuring tender pak choi, tofu and shiitake mushrooms, subtly spiced and finished with chopped garlic and chilli flakes. Crispy Seafood Roll Panko-coated rolls packed with prawn, squid and crabmeat, offering a satisfying crunch balanced with sweet chilli accents and sesame notes. Steamed Fish with Ginger & Scallion A traditional Lunar New Year essential — delicately steamed fish infused with ginger, red chillies and sesame, symbolising prosperity and surplus for the year ahead. Moving into heartier fare: Lion Head Meatballs Inspired by the iconic Chinese celebratory dish, these mildly spiced pork meatballs are tossed in rich Kung Pao hues, paired with peas, mushrooms and red chillies, garnished with spring onion. Chilli Butter Garlic Seafood Fried Rice Loaded with squid, crabmeat, shrimp and egg, this buttery garlic rice is aromatic, indulgent and festive in every spoonful. Stir-Fried Noodles with Minced Pork Spicy and robust, finished with spring onion and chilli flakes — a comforting bowl symbolising longevity. For main course lovers: Stir-Fried Chicken with Vegetables in Chilli Bean Sauce A vibrant orangish tangy-spicy preparation featuring bell peppers, pak choi, broccoli, baby corn and mushrooms — bold and celebratory. Crab Meat in Butter Garlic Sauce A rich white gravy delicacy, subtly seasoned with black pepper and chopped chillies — indulgent yet refined.
