The first out of five plays, Motley will be presenting 'Manto Ismat...Haazir Hain' at Ranga Shankara, this entire week (July 5-10, 2022) starting today! First performed in 2004 this play consists of the so-called obscene stories of Ismat Chughtai and Saadat Hasan Manto and their trial and acquittal, accompanied by a narrative commentary which questions the nature of obscenity.
