EVENT HAS ENDED
178, 5th Main Rd, Binnamangala, Hoysala Nagar, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560038
India has always been known for its “Unity in Diversity” and we perhaps celebrate the maximum number of festivals in our country. We are told that almost 15% of our population has some form of disability but we are still hesitant to talk about them. Every year crores of rupees are spent on corporate events trying to sensitise adults about how we can have a more inclusive society. At EKansh Trust, we work to empower PwD and know that it is easier and better to begin at the beginning, encouraging young minds to have more empathy and sensitivity. For our small event at ATTAGALATTA, we invite little children to come and colour our pictures, each of which depicts a festival and has one character with a disability. If conversations begin early, we believe we will have a more inclusive future. The children (and accompanying adults) will also be taught a few signs from the Indian Sign Language as a gift for dropping by.
