"Chardi Kala" documents the historic 2020-21 Indian farmers' protest against agricultural laws. Shot by a one-person crew, it captures the farmers' year-long peaceful resistance at Delhi's borders, highlighting their detailed critiques and the Sikh principles of 'sewa' and 'chardi kala' that sustained the movement.   

About the Filmmaker 

Prateek Shekhar, a graduate of TISS Mumbai, has co-directed award-winning documentaries and assisted filmmaker Amar Kanwar. His works, including "Chai Darbari" and "Chardi Kala," have received recognition at various film festivals, focusing on social and cultural themes
