Event Description
"Chauthi Koot" weaves two narratives set in 1980s Punjab during the Khalistan movement - following Hindu friends traveling at night and a Sikh family caught between militants and army. Based on Waryam Singh Sandhu's stories, it explores fear and survival during political unrest.
About the Filmmaker
Gurvinder Singh, an FTII graduate mentored by Mani Kaul, is known for his minimalist style in Punjabi cinema. His award-winning works, including "Anhey Ghore Da Daan," explore rural Punjab's landscapes and socio-political issues through contemplative storytelling.
