We are what we believe. Our consciousness dictates our response to the world outside and within. It is imperative that we keep revisiting the age old questions of "Who am I? What is my purpose? Where am I headed?". Music and poetry can provide guidance, if not answers. Chitta explores these time-tested questions through songs, stories and ancient wisdom. The artists explore compositions in various languages by poets and composers ranging from Kabir to Annamacharya to Subramania Bharati, interspersed with thought-provoking insights, all woven together as an intimate musical conversation. The lilting strains of the piano combine with soulful vocals to create an experience that is both mesmerizing and meditative. Chitta is food for the mind and the soul. Presenting the concert are two acclaimed musicians of Bangalore. Manasi Prasad is among the leading Carnatic vocalists, who combines years of training and experience with a contemporary outlook. Her melodious voice has travelled the world, sharing songs and stories from Indian music with diverse audiences. Shadrach Solomon is a gifted pianist, music composer and arranger who combines harmonies of western classical music with an uncanny ability to bring Indian ragas alive on the piano.
