“Cocktail with a Cause” is the latest campaign at Uru Brewpark where the theme is “Drink for Charity”, aimed at raising funds to help with blood scarcity in the country, and the star of the campaign is “Tales of Tezpur”, a brilliant earthy & fruity cocktail with a touch of citrus and smoke made with Talisker  single malt whisky

Crafted by URU’s very own Purno Basumatary as part of the very prestigious Diageo Global World Class Competition, the inspiration behind the cocktail & its red colour is name of the city he comes from – Tezpur which means “The City of Blood”, named after a mythological battle which resulted in the entire city being drenched in blood. The Assam inspired cocktail, encompasses the very essence of the region with its ingredients.

Blood or “Khoon” is liquid life, and while so essential to living, it is also a scarcity. URU Brewpark’s campaign “Cocktail for a Cause” is proud to be associated “Khoon” an NGO founded in 2016 by then 16-year-old Chetan Manchegowda, which is working hard towards fighting this blood shortage. Accordingly, the Blood Red “Tales of Tezpur” has been chosen by Uru Brewpark as the signature cocktail for “Cocktail for a Cause” where the entire proceeds from its sale for the whole month of May, will go towards aiding Khoon.
