"Come Eat With Me" explores the complex relationship between caste and food, focusing on Dalit Cuisine. Through personal stories and oral histories from my community, the performance weaves in academic and artistic insights, addressing themes of oppression, solidarity, and the resilience of the human spirit. Audiences are invited to share a meal and their own experiences, creating a communal environment that challenges caste hierarchies. This event seeks to contribute to the anti-caste and Ambedkarite movements, expanding its narrative across time and space—from mythology to contemporary realities—while fostering community and dialogue around these critical issues      About Sri Vamsi Matta    Sri Vamsi Matta, or simply Vamsi, is an interdisciplinary theatre artist based in Bangalore. His Dalit identity, personal experiences, and environment profoundly shape his artistic practice, informing the themes, questions, and mediums he explores.
