Event Description

At the end of fifty long years of watching over a slice of India’s popular wildlife hotspot and one of her most venerated water bodies, the Cauvery, comes this book about wildlife conservation. Susheel Gyanchand has worked on protecting the mahseer fish through catch-and-release angling, and dealing with elephants and maneaters, many bearing injuries, gone rogue. His concern for the fish and wildlife has led him to a lifelong battle with rogue humans too, poachers and illegal fish and meat traders. Rogues is a real-life account of the man-animal conflict and the terrified farmers bearing the brunt who have often turned to this naturalist for help.

The talk will be followed by interaction with the audience.
