Event Description

About the class: Learn Contemporary Dance and Composition". This course focuses on safe movement practices, individuality, breath, alignment, joint articulation, and the use of gravity and momentum in movement. You'll also learn to create short movement sketches while exploring concepts such as narration, aesthetics, space, and time in performing arts.

About the Faculty: Deepak is an experienced teacher who has mentored creators and dancers as part of various dance residencies and is a visiting professor for dance at several universities in India. He holds a postgraduate diploma in choreography from S.E.A.D in Austria and has worked and presented dance works in India and Europe. Deepak is currently pursuing a fellowship at Bhoomi College, where he is studying pedagogy and exploring the idea of suitability with a holistic approach to life and art.

Classes for: We welcome everyone, regardless of their background, to join our dance class. Whether you are a dance lover, dancing enthusiast, contact improv freak, traditional dancer, or crazy clabber, all are invited to join us. We also extend our invitation to musicians, philosophers, and anyone who loves to move their body.

Age is just a number, as long as you're above 14 years old, you`re more than welcome to join us. 8 classes throughout the month of May.

2 classes each week on Saturday and Sunday.
