Event Description

The Theatre Comes to You!

Bangalore Little Theatre (BLT) brings to you a fun and entertaining programme thrust called COURTYARD THEATRE. It brings quality theatre to your doorstep.
They have taken some of their most successful plays from the past and converted them to a Storytelling Theatre format, with just two actors presenting the entire play. Since it is increasingly difficult to bring audiences to an auditorium to watch plays, they take theatre to the people.
At Lahe Lahe, Bangalore Little Theatre, brings to you three of their popular Courtyard Theatre plays.
Shakespeare By Any Other Name – The play is about the man called Shakespeare – his life and work and the idea of Shakespeare. The play dips into excerpts of scenes to illustrate the point. The script also raises the question of who Shakespeare was really and the authorship of the plays.

Time: 5- 6:30 pm
Venue: Lahe Lahe
The Court Jester – Tales of Tenali Rama. A collection of sketches from the treasure trove of stories about the witty jester in the court of Emperor Krishnadevaraya. Watch the legendary Tenali Rama in action as he outsmarts his envious peers and wins the hearts of the King and common people alike.

Bangalore Little Theatre – fondly called BLT, is one of the first English Language Theatre groups in Bengaluru. For 60 years it has been instrumental in supporting theatre arts in the city. During this period BLT has produced over 200 plays, pioneered training in the theatre, initiated play development as a serious pursuit, reached out to the community in a wide variety of ways, and built strong bridges with the regional language theatres. It remains an inspiration for theatre performers and practioners.
