Namitha Hebbal is a self taught collage artist based in Bengaluru. She is an architect and holds a masters degree in Interior Design. As she was not formally trained, she chose to try ‘Collage' as a medium out of sheer curiosity. She initially started with analogue collage and slowly moved on to digital collage and now equally enjoys doing both. She truly feels collage making is the perfect medium for her to express her thoughts as it is not bound by any hard and fast rule. Her collages mostly depict surreal scenes set in dreamscapes. Though it has been just a little over two years of her making collages, her work has been featured both nationally and internationally in Delhi Art Week, online exhibitions, magazines, e-books and a physical book titled ‘Echoes Of Yesterday’ by Phototrouve magazine. During the workshop, she will walk you through an introduction and brief history of Collaging as an artform, explain the entire process of making analogue collages and also share some tips and tricks. Participants will make collages on postcards, which could be exchanged amongst themselves or be posted to their family and friends.
