Event Description

In this silent reading session, join fellow crime fiction enthusiasts and immerse yourself in tales of mystery, suspense, intrigue, captivating whodunits and gripping investigations. You can bring your own book or choose one from the collection at the library, pick a cosy spot and read with us for 90 minutes. Post this, spend a few minutes chatting with us about your read. This event is a part of BIC’s Programmes at the Library. BIC Library Programmes are designed to mould the library into a community-centered reading space. Our primary goal is to curate sessions that cater to the diverse interests and ages within our library community. Through this programming we wish for the library to become a dynamic space that goes beyond traditional book-related activities. We also aim to provide a platform for members of the community to sometimes host these events we curate. If you have event ideas that align with our vision, please reach out to us at collab@bangaloreinternationalcentre.org Facilitator Abhiram R Crime Fiction Enthusiast & Senior Machine Learning Engineer Abhiram loves reading – all sorts of genres really but crime fiction in particular. The promise of one or more twists, puzzles along the way and the final reveal of who/why is more than satisfying. Abhiram also enjoys high fantasy, business books and well-written self-help books. By profession, he’s a Machine Learning Engineer at O9 Solutions working on Generative AI. On the leisure front, he runs a book club called Broke Bibliophiles Bangalore that has been operating from 2017. In his spare time, he blogs about his technical escapades at https://everythingpython.substack.com and non-tech things at https://abhiwrites.com .
