When life reaches that moment of crossing over, what does one go with? What conversations do we have - with ourselves, with others? More importantly, what conversations can others have with us? Why are these conversations about death important and why is it that we, as a society, shy away from these and often end up `doing` a lot for the person but not really `being` with the person. First Drop Theatre brings to you `Crossing Over` - collection of 4 short stories, 3 of them based on a book of the same name released by the Bangalore Hospice Trust (Karunashraya); a book that houses real-life stories and characters as they all grapple around death. The 4th story is a personal account as narrated to the writer. We look at these stories borne out of families that suffered a loss. The scripted performance would be followed by a short intervention in the format of Playback Theatre, as a container for the feelings that the audience might be sitting with after watching the play.
