Crossing Perspectives: Musée du quai Branly Photographic Collection is a presentation by Christine Barthe, Curator, Head of the photographic collection at the Musee du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Paris, France.
The photographic collection of Musée du quai Branly is a reference collection regarding the representation of the whole world. Constituted from the legacy of two major historical collections, it got a new identity through its new place in 2006. A various range of actions including acquisitions, exhibitions, and support to the contemporary creation allows us to work on the 19th century as well as the 21st and to create connections between many worlds, from different perspectives.
There will be a discussion with Christine Barthe and Prachi Gupta after the presentation, followed by a Q&A.
