About the Organiser
Heritage Beku is a well known citizen initiative, focused on knowing, loving and preserving our city heritage.
Our walk partner Kavya Chandra is a a plant naturalist and nature guide; she walks through Cubbon and Lal Bagh regularly with groups and explains the rich heritage of old trees in the space, history of Cubbon, the architecture and the various interesting facts and science of flora fauna. She went on to pursuing environmental science, climate and food growing systems which made her take up courses and higher studies and ultimately found her calling in plants trees and natural life.
For the last 8 years Kavya has held over 400 walks and impacted over 5000 individuals from schools, families, children, professionals in plants, nature and citizen science
