About the Sub-Festival

Gala-Gala-Gaddala (#3G) is a cultural carnival celebrating Karnataka's rich heritage through music, dance, theatre, and more! Curated by Lekha Naidu for BLR Hubba, this festival embodies joy, tradition, and Karnataka's Spirit.

About the Performance

Dance for Peace and Love by Sahachaari is a poignant Bharatanatyam performance celebrating the ideals of the Indian Constitution. The ensemble explores fundamental values of justice, equality, peace, humanity and fraternity through five meticulously choreographed dance pieces.    Opening with the Preamble to the Indian Constitution and culminating in Charlie Chaplin's stirring final speech from The Great Dictator, the performance weaves diverse cultural elements to emphasise universal themes of justice and human unity. The repertoire includes interpretations of Kabir's couplets, Shoorpanakha Navarasa, and the Kannada poem 'Elubina Handara', exploring secularism and fraternity while celebrating India's rich cultural and religious diversity.    The choreography thoughtfully addresses contemporary struggles for identity, acceptance and belonging. Classical dance vocabulary reminds performers and audiences of their shared civic responsibilities whilst advocating for inner peace and spiritual awakening as pathways to transcend ignorance and create a more harmonious world.    About Sahachaari    Sahachaari is a dance ensemble founded by Lahari Bharighat to promote peace and love through classical dance. Drawing inspiration from socio-political realities, the ensemble creates performances that mirror society's joys and challenges. The group consciously addresses critical issues including caste, gender and systemic inequalities within the dance form and broader social contexts.

Beyond performances, Sahachaari actively engages with young dancers through workshops and collaborations, fostering a secular and humanistic approach to artistic expression.
