Five decades inside a form leaves its knowledge in the body. This evening, Malavika Sarukkai brings it to you.
One of India’s foremost Bharatanatyam artistes, Sarukkai presents a selection of her choreographies alongside the creative process that shaped them, the layering of intention and intuition, the place where classical grammar meets a contemporary mind. Accompanied by four musicians, she moves between demonstration and reflection, making visible what usually remains privy to the artist alone.
The evening is open to all: rasikas, dancers, scholars, and enthusiasts alike.
