Sri Ramayana Darshanam, is the magnum opus by Kuvempu. He calls his work ‘darshanam’ (vision) it is the poet’s realisation that all the creation is caused, pervaded, sustained and governed by the cosmic mind. The epic brings home the  truth that all beings, even the most wicked and sinful, are destined to evolve and  ultimately attain perfection. ‘Dashanana Swapnasiddi’, one of the important chapters in the epic, depicts the improbable experiences Ravana undergoes one night. Kuvempu chisels a whole new sculpture of Ravana in the epic, who is trying to stay afloat in his own growing depths of complexity. There are no miracles and magic boons here. There is only the redemption hidden in one`s own consciousness, which each needs to find.
