Through Sahir’s own poetry and incidences shared by his friends as well as contemporaries, we try to shed light on multiple shades of life and the literary stature of one of the most celebrated poet and lyricist- Sahir Ludhianvi. About the Artists Dr. Himanshu Bajpai is one of India’s leading dastangos, known for over 300 performances worldwide, including at Harvard and on Netflix’s Sacred Games. Honored by former President Ram Nath Kovind, Himanshu's work in storytelling extends to his bestselling book Qissa Qissa Lucknowa, awarded the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar. With a PhD on Lucknow's historic Naval Kishore Press, he writes extensively on the city’s culture and conducts engaging heritage walks. Dr. Pragya Sharma, Lucknow's first female dastango, transitioned from a career in economics to become a full-time storyteller in 2020. With around 200 performances, she brings depth to tales like Jhansi ki Rani and Sahir Ludhianvi, inspiring others—especially women—to pursue Dastangoi. Pragya’s nuanced storytelling beautifully captures the complexities of human nature.
