The workshop aims at introducing the basic concepts and techniques of Dhrupad. By the end of the workshop, you would have the conceptual and experiential understanding of Dhrupad and Indian music in general. It will be an interactive session that includes exercises and demonstrations. The topics covered are, a) Understanding the basic differences between Dhrupad and others forms of Indian Classical music. b)Origin of Dhrupad. c) How to get started with basic exercises. d)understanding the concept of Ragas. e) compositions.
