About the performance:

The performance blends between Carnatic Ragas and Rhythmic Solpha Phrases (syllables). The special feature will be a presentation to convey the band’s gratitude to the Ex Metro Rail Chief Sreedharan due to whose efforts the Konkan railways took shape and the Metro Rail service started in Delhi and now is spreading all over India. The musical piece is called METRO.  PERCUSSION will be predominant in the whole show. 

About Dhwani:

Sriganesh Ramamoorthy started his own band called DHWANI in the year 2003. The band had its first concert in The Delhi Tamil Sangam New Delhi. Since then DHWANI has performed under prestigious banners like The Sangeet Natak Academy, India international centre, New Delhi, The Nimrana Arts Foundation Nimrana, Rajasthan, The Delhi International Arts Festival, New Delhi, Sri Ragam Fine Arts, Chennai, The Sapta Sur Music Festival Thane, Nirantaram festival. Courtyard Koota and Saturdays@Swastika in Bangalore. DHWANI has also performed overseas for the prestigious Min On Association, Tokyo Japan, sharing the stage with Kathak Exponent Uma Dogra and group from Mumbai. The first CD of the group was released by the eminent Hindustani Musician Pt. Madhup Mudgal. DHWANI is empanelled with Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR) New Delhi.
