Event Description

At the heart of Navratri lies devotion, and at the heart of devotion is the Anahata Chakra.

Known as the energy center of love, compassion, and forgiveness, this is where divinity meets emotion. During Navratri, Indian classical musicians connect with this sacred space through music, offering their prayers to the goddess Durga in the form of ragas that stir the soul.

Central to this tradition are Raga Durga (also called Durgeshwari) and Kalyani, known for invoking divine protection, inner strength, and grace. Typically performed between 6 pm and midnight, these ragas awaken the qualities of shringar rasa (romantic and devotional longing) and guide the listener inward, toward stillness and surrender.

As the goddess is celebrated in many forms across nine nights, music becomes a bridge to the Anahata Chakra: a place where love is fearless, and the sacred feminine is felt in every vibration.

An evening where music becomes prayer, and the goddess is praised in every note.
