Event Description

Come and listen to the songs written for the comedy kings of Bollywood - Johnny Walker and Mehmood, who have acted in more than 300 films. Both were known for their humorous roles in Bollywood and known for their impeccable comic timing. Johnny Walker was the earliest stand-up comedian notable for his roles, and Mehmood brought humour to the silver screen in ways that resonated deeply with audiences. 

This event is being presented by Mumbai’s singing sensation Priya Karthik née Mahadevan. Accompanying her are the established singers - Shruthi Raghavendran, Raghu Jha, Govind Kurnool, with music arrangement by Senthil Kumar - Music Director of Kannada film `Ride`. 

An alumnus of SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sion, Mumbai, Priya is classically trained and a highly versatile singer, known for her ability to adapt to various musical genres. Since school days, she is noted for her warm sonorous voice and emotive forces, identical to that of Asha Bhosle’s voice and style. Priya has recorded shlokas, TV jingles, ghazals, bhajans, and garbha songs, which were for an album with Mahendra Kapoor and Sapna Awasthi. A Post Graduate in English Literature and Mass Communication, and a PhD in Psychology, Priya has lent her endearing voice for all the volumes of Navneet Publications (I) Ltd - Vikas Prakashan’s educational series, nursery rhymes, and story time cassettes. Priya was a Track Singer for Kavita Krishnamurthy, and has given stage performances with Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh, Sudesh Bhosle, and Abhijeet Bhattacharya. She also worked with the media at Star Television Network in Mumbai and National Geographic Channel in New Delhi.
