The Theatre and Reading festival Dum Dama Dum by Atta Galatta that began in 2017 unites two beautiful things in a child’s life, the love for drama and love for reading. The festival will have plays for children and families from various renowned theatre groups while at the bookstore, they can enter into a world of books from their favourite authors and publishers.
The Day Pass includes access to all 3 scheduled plays. Individual passes to a single play are also available. Just search their names on Urbanaut! (see schedule below)

3:00 PM- Oh Mama, Where Water Thou?- presented by Theatre On Your Own
"Oh Mama, What Water Where Though"explores the lives of those inhabiting two distinct landscapes: the forest and the desert. As both regions face a severe water crisis, the inhabitants decide to migrate in search of a sustainable source.
4:30 PM- The Paper Thieves- presented by TheatreSHIFT
The Paper Thieves is a performance-workshop adventure where children join a pair of curious thieves on a hunt for hidden treasure — the secret paper stash! Guided by a mysterious treasure map, young participants decode clues, solve puzzles, and follow a playful trail.
6:00 PM- Scandal in Fairyland- presented by Urban Chaupaal
Scandal in Fairyland" is a play written by noted Bengali dramatist Badal Sircar. It use witty, tongue-in-cheek comedy to communicate relevant social messages, which gives them a contemporary relevance seldom seen in children's theatre
