7 4th Main Rd, Stage 2, Domlur 560071
Bangalore International Centre – 1 st May 2022 – 4 – 6.30 PM
In textiles, as in nature, colour abounds. Natural dyes made drom food scraps that
would otherwise go composted or unused, suddenly inspire creative opportunities
that reduce food waste. They can replace synthetic chemical colours and due fibre
such as yarn or fabric for clothing and textiles.
Join the team to explore how almost every scrap, skin and stem of our food
salvageab;e – and useful in the workshop, create natural dyes with kitchen waste like
onion peels, pomegranate peels and walnut shells. Traditional our ancestors used
materials from within our home and garden to get beautiful dyes and colours, but
over a periof of time, due to increasing demand, use of synthetic and chemical
colours and dyes are prevalent in the society.
The kit is being provided for the workshop to each participant with 3 napkins, an
apron and a diary.
