About Sujata Shukla

CA Sujata Shukla Rajan is a Chartered Accountant by profession, food chronicler by passion. She is the author of “Bhog Naivedya: Food Offerings to the Gods” (Rupa Publications), and has another food book coming out this year.

Sujata writes a recipe blog, PepperOnPizza.com, Recipes beyond Borders - ‘Sometimes Exotic, Often Traditional, Always Delicious’, showcasing traditional regional Indian recipes including almost forgotten ingredients from her native Tamizh cuisine, as well as her favourite recipes from around the world.

She has made a couple of podcasts on Indian Food History with Anirudh Kanisetti on ‘All Things Policy’
She enjoys cooking, reading, researching on food, book club meets, travel, music, Formula 1 races, as well as being grandmother to three amazing grand-daughters who appreciate food and books as much as she does.

Anand is a techie, this being just one dimension to his multi-faceted personality. He is passionate about books, Indian classical music, cryptic crosswords, bird watching and food.
His home library encompasses a wide range of books, including books on food and food history. He regularly tries out recipes from his many cook books. He enjoys cooking for family and friends.
Anand is a member of several book clubs and food and cooking related clubs.
