Ekatvam, an Initiative of Entrust Foundation, presents the annual Ekatvam Holi Music Fest from March 22nd – 25th, 2024 at The Bangalore Gayana Samajaja. The festival celebrates the festival of color and music and brings together performers, connoisseurs, Critics and mentors. There is Carnatic Vocal, Carnatic duet , Carnatic Fusion Band and Hindustani Vocal to enthral the music lovers. Ekatvam stands as a beacon in the preservation, promotion, and celebration of Indian Classical music and cultural heritage. Rooted in tradition yet fuelled by innovation, we have been providing a platform for budding artistes while supporting and showcasing innovative works by senior artists across diverse genres, including contemporary and fusion music. In 2022, Ekatvam instituted awards that celebrate legends in Carnatic Music. With the co-operation from the family of Violin Virtuoso Padma Bhusan Awardee Sangita Kalnidhi Prof.T.N.Krishnan , The Sangita Kalnidhi T.N.Krishnan Memorial Award & Sangita Kalnidhi T.N.Krishnan Award of excellence were instituted and every year the awards are given to an individual who has made a path-breaking contribution to Carnatic Music and to upcoming musicians. The event is conducted at Chennai. This year, to honor the legends of Carnatic and Hindustani Music in Karnataka, we have instituted two awards in the names of the chief court musician (Asthana Vidwan) at the Mysore court, Sri. Mysore Vasudevachar, and the renowned Hindustani Musician, (of the khayal genre) Smt. Gangubai Hangal. The Mysore Vasudevachar Award of Excellence and the Smt. Gangubai Hangal Award will be presented to musicians from Karnataka for their outstanding contributions to Carnatic and Hindustani Music. The concerts will be admission free. Ekatvam, founded by Rajmohan Krishnan, is delighted to unveil the 4th edition of the Holi Music Festival. In previous editions, Ekatvam showcased emerging artists such as Siddharth Belmannu, Kalyanapuram S. Aravind, H.M Smitha, Akshay Anand, and the renowned Sufi artist Mukhtiyar Ali. This year's festival continues the tradition, highlighting immensely talented Hindustani and Carnatic musicians, with a special focus on Hindustani Vocal by Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, Carnatic - Violin Duet of Vid. Mysore Manjunath and Vid. Mysore Nagaraj, Carnatic Vocal by Vid. Sandeep Narayan and coming together for the first time super talented Carnatic Fusion Band ShadJam. The super talented Swarthmika Srikanth, winner of the prestigious Times Thyagaraja Award for the year 2022 will also be performing in this year's HMF. True to its commitment to community welfare, Ekatvam has started its initial efforts to establish an elderly care facility in Kerala in response to the rapid growth of the elderly population. The facility will offer residents companionship, privacy and comfort, while also giving them the supervision they need.
