Event Description

This Sunday, 21 Nov 2021 at 12 PM, we bring to you a wonderful book event with theatre legend Feizal Alkazi who will be in conversation with Vivek Madan. The session will bring together two generations of theatre makers in a discussion about Alkazi's book 'Enter Stage Right.' The book is a narration of the beginnings of Modern Theatre in India, and the life of Ebrahim Alkazi, who is considered the father of Modern Indian Theatre.

Feisal Alkazi needs no introduction. A well known theatre director, he has spent 40 years in theatre and has directed over 200 plays in Hindi, English, and Urdu. He is also an educator and an activist, with some experience in playwriting.

Vivek Madan is the most recent Shankar Nag Awardee and has over twenty years' experience in theatre as a performer, producer and curator.

Needless to say, this session will be educational and important. Be there and don't forget to bring your friends!

Copies of 'Enter Stage Right' will be available for purchase at the Paperback Bookshop at Ranga Shankara. The author will sign books after the event.

This event is free-of-cost. Seating will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
