It’s been six months since they last did their African Music Exploration. After the showcase at Magnetic Fields, Focus Group decided to take a step back—to rethink and refocus, and to bring a new energy and direction to this series. Over the past few months, they’ve been working on ways to deepen this project—rethinking sound, production, and the experience as a whole. Some of that thinking will start to show at this next edition.

They’re also returning to longer sets, something that was always central to this project. This time, they’re joined by Priyansha, who’s been steadily building her sound and craft with each gig. She’ll be setting the tone and building up the night.

This time on 26th April at Indiranagar Social, diving into music from across Africa and its many diaspora communities.
