Afro house, funk and more Focus group radio is back with another banger at Indiranagar SOCIAL, presenting African music exploration featuring Tash LC along with Chan and kick starting the night to an unforgettable night of groove. “African Music Exploration” is built on showcasing diverse African sounds from the last five decades. They love juxtaposing old African music with contemporary African club sounds and tracing how sounds from different scenes have migrated to different parts of the world. Kicking off this year hosting an artist who’s been on the forefront of doing the same with her radio show on NTS which is an archive in itself of these sounds. Super excited to host Tash LC this month and take our night of African Music Exploration on tour this month. Tash LC has an innate sense of rhythm and soul that guides her selection. Sensitive and assured her sets have a way of balancing Afro-jazz, Kuduro, Gqom and esoteric club sounds. Throughout the night we'll dive neck deep into the of sounds from the African continent with an open to close set. We'll delve neck deep into sounds of African Jazz, Afrobeat, Afro Disco, Kuduro, GQOM, Batida, Singeli and a whole host of other things covering the last five decades. Expect to discover music that isn’t traditionally built for the dance floors along with contemporary club sounds from the African continent and its migrant communities that are under-represented in the scene.
