Event Description

In the interest of safety, Ranga Shankara AHA's signature Summer Express 2021 is now being held online from 10 to 22 May 2021. Summer workshops around the theme of theatre will be conducted for children aged 8 to 12 years. The faculty members have been chosen from across the country, as it is normally done. Two weeks of elaborate workshops will be conducted over Zoom for young minds.

The facilitators will be renowned theatre practitioners Sujay Saple, Anuja Ghosalkar, and Shaili Sathyu. The workshops are a part of Ranga Shankara's AHA! programme, among the country's best full-fledged and sustained Theatre for Children programmes.

Each workshop will be conducted in two batches. The first batch will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM. The second batch will take place from 2 to 4 PM. Each batch is a complete course in itself. Workshops will be conducted every day except Sundays.

Centred on the themes of experiencing and making theatre, the workshops include learning the art of storytelling, acting, etc. Every workshop will involve several facets of theatre – writing, acting, directing, etc.

The workshop details are as follows:

·         Shaili Sathyu - 'The Secret Is Out - Staging Mystery Stories (ages 8 - 12)

·         Anuja Ghoshalkar - 'Listen, the Photos Speak!' (ages 8 - 12)

·         Sujay Saple - 'Stories We Make (ages 8 - 12)

Each workshop is open to 20 participants. Parents can register their children till 25 Apr 2021 on www.bookmyshow.com. Registration can also be done at the Ranga Shankara office between 11 AM to 5 PM every day (Monday holiday). Date of birth proof must be mandatorily presented. Payments can be made via cash, cheque, and cards for registrations at Ranga Shankara.
