Event Description

Golpa Gaaner Adda: A Baithak Evening Music in the Bengali language has a rich heritage tracing back to the 8th century, and today it is a diverse body of music consisting of classical and popular, devotional and secular, urban and rural, Eastern and Western styles and forms. We present to you a glimpse of a handful of these genres in the folk and devotional categories through illustrative songs and anecdotes by Rabindranath Tagore (from the Tagore family). Along with this, get the experience of Bengal through stories of a revival of intangible cultural heritage & crafts shared by Purono Kolkatar Golpo (PKG) & Tamaala.
