FILM a.k.a. Sanil Sudan is a 34 year old New Delhi based DJ, Producer and curator at the two mainstays for electronic music in the capital. Sudan makes dancefloor-friendly House, Breaks and IDM under the alias FILM. To celebrate old Detroit techno through leaner productions, Sudan uses the moniker Tyrell Dub Corp. After being selected for Border Movement’s two month residency in Berlin in 2017, FILM shortly made his Boiler Room debut (stream here) in 2018. FILM’s emotionally complex electronic music is informed by hip-hop, jungle and pop music arrangements to present ebullient sets, that have seen him behind the decks at some of the most coveted stages across Europe and South Asia. His time in Germany gave him access to play some of the finest clubs in Berlin such as Griessmuehle, Katerblau, Suicide Circus and Golden Gate.
When not writing new music or playing gigs, Sudan also books the live calendar for Auro Kitchen & Bar and Summerhouse Cafe, where internationally acclaimed headliners such as Khruangbin, Four Tet, Helena Hauff, have graced the venues.
Watashi
With a penchant towards creating dark soundscapes and influences varying from punk-rock, metal to the UK underground, Watashi is treading the grey area between drum n bass, techno and breaks. Watashi released tracks on international labels like XCPT from Italy and Hyperactivity from France in the last couple of years, and also Indian labels Regenerate Music and Krunk Kulture recently. Auto-Tainment and Pogchamp Hard both tracks released on Regenerate Music were played recently by Tapefeed live at Fabric London. Fresh off his debut album “Euthanasia Coaster” released in February, 2022 on Regenerate Music which garnered a lot of critical acclaim both internationally and locally, a concept album in his signature style telling a melancholic story with a twist.
Rasa
Traversing & weaving together sonic spaces, 'rasa' is a Bangalore-based DJ and an avid curator of music. Oscillating between her engineering career and spinning tunes, Rasa's love to share and explore music paved the way for her journey as a DJ. She desires to amplify the bass music scene further in the country and has been doing so on dance floors across venues and festivals, including web Barrelfest (UK) curated by Addison Groove, Solaris Music Festival (Goa), and she has played alongside various homegrown and international artists such as Dixon, Addison Groove, DJ PayPal, Denham Audio, Manifesto, Matteo (Chinese Man), Zed Bias, and was also a part of the Hamdi India tour. Rasa’s affinity for exploring eccentric sounds assists her pursuit to curate selections across various genres such as d&b, jungle, footwork, dubstep, grime, UKG, hip-hop, 2- step, halftime, breakbeats, electro, and more, that leaves you captivated & grooving by all means.
XS
XS is the moniker of Indian producer & DJ, Anmol Bhat, who is a Bombay native, currently residing in Bangalore. Anmol’s music exploration started off over two decades ago when his dad gifted him his collection of cassettes and CDs mainly consisting of metal, rock n’ roll and early 90s hip-hop. While he continued exploring various artforms, Anmol honed his skill as a producer and multi-instrumentalist. By 2017, Anmol saw himself sharing the stage with acts like Karnivool, Simple Plan, Indian Ocean, Uday Benegal and more. Since 2020, Anmol as an electronic artist has been playing under the moniker XS, which accurately describes his small stature and a wordplay on “excess” which is free to the interpreter’s mind.
Skye
Introducing Skye, Beginning his career as a Residant DJ in year 2016 , he moved around from venue to venue learning and developing this skill while grasping in various sounds & Genres. Skye discovered a special place for house music & Break Beat in this journey, which made him realise that the wide variety of music should be incorporated into his sets and give the crowd a special experience because, in his opinion, music is continuously evolving, giving him the chance to learn and introduce new sounds to his craft.
