Karthik Sundar Gubbi, widely known as Gubbi, is a multilingual rapper, lyricist, and composer from Bengaluru. A pioneer in the city's rap scene, Gubbi seamlessly switches between Kannada, English, Hindi, and even German in his music. He began his journey in 2007, gaining popularity through text rap battles on social media, and released his first Kannada-English rap in 2011. Inspired by iconic artists like Eminem and J. Cole, his music spans a spectrum from conscious rap to playful tracks set against South Indian rhythms.

Gubbi has collaborated with a diverse array of musicians, from classical violinists to folk artists, and even with renowned movie music directors. He has worked with celebrated names like Ghatam Giridhar Udupa, Raghu Dixit, Vasu Dixit, Ravi Basrur, and Sanjeev T, to name a few.
