Event Description

An upcoming solo exhibition, "Journeys Within," will showcase the recent works of artist Gurudas Shenoy from March 8 to 30, 2025, in Bangalore. Marking his 60th year, the exhibition features 38 artworks across two distinct series, reflecting his evolving artistic language.

The first series, "Spiritual Odyssey," explores landscapes with abstraction, spatial composition, and simplicity, emphasizing nature’s inherent spirituality. The second series, "Timeless Narratives," presents still-life charcoal drawings and oil paintings inspired by landscapes from Hampi, European cities, and the ghats of Varanasi. Shenoy also introduces collage elements, continuing his pursuit of innovation.

With a career spanning over four decades, Shenoy has developed a distinctive visual vocabulary across landscapes, cityscapes, and still life. Trained at M.S. University, Baroda, he has held numerous solo shows and participated in over 200 group exhibitions. His murals and paintings are part of significant collections across India.
