About the Event:-

In this session, you will:

Get to know the best materials and tools to use and where to find them

Understand how to set up and finish off an embroidery hoop for display.

Learn how to transfer a design onto your fabric.

Learn three different stitches you will need to complete the project and can use again and again in your own designs

Stitch along with the artist as you create the different coloured leaves.

About the Artform:-

Embroidery is an artform that is done using simple tools like the needle and thread. It was an important art in the Medieval Islamic world. The 17th-century Turkish traveler Evliya Çelebi called it the "craft of the two hands". It is used to create beautiful patterns and designs on clothes, handkerchiefs and items of home decor. Hand embroidery is said to have a therapeutic effect on the person. It relieves stress and has a calming effect on the nerves.
