About Menaka Raman:
Menaka Raman is the author of a number of books for children, including Gappu Can’t Dance, Topi Rockets from Thumba, Ira Investigates the Invisible, and How to Reach Mars and Other (Im)possible Things. Her book Loki Takes Guard won the 2021 Valley of Words Award for Writing for Young Adults. Her latest book, How to Win an Election: A Most Unreliable Guide, won the 2024 Atta Galatta-Bangalore Literature Festival Book Prize in the Children’s Fiction category.
Menaka’s short stories have appeared in anthologies published by Penguin, Speaking Tiger and Scholastic India. She has written on parenting and children’s books for some of India’s leading newspapers.
