Event Description

INGA takes her name from the Tamil word that loosely means ‘to be here’.

 Anchored in a melodic voice, her songs are set against groovy sounds and thumping beats, sometimes a blend of folk, pop & jazz and other times inspiring a laid back vibe. Influences from a diverse mix of artists such as Fela Kuti with his vibrant live-performances, Devendra Banhart’s eccentric vocals and Jim Morrison’s visual writing have trickled down to birth her eclectic sound.

 Rave reviews for her debut single, ‘Days Go By’ (2022), were quickly followed by almost a million views for her single ‘Say My Name’ (2023, Nexa Music) and nearly 4 million views for her single ‘Bad Intentions’ (2023, Nexa Music). She has since released two more singles called Blown my cover (Dec, 2023) and Oooh Lady! (Mar, 2024).
 
2024 has seen her go on a maiden tour where she performed at dream venues such as The Piano Man at Eldeco Centre, The Piano Man Jazz Club in Safdarjung, Bonobo, Hideaway and Elephant & Co. plus a collaboration with Greater Than Gin where she performed at their first ever Spot Concert held in New Delhi.
