To explore the idea of using light as a potent form of expression, moulding the narrative of a performance. Lighting can affect our mood just as music does. It gently tends to coax us to respond to an image emotionally. This workshop is for all performative artists who want to understand the effects of lighting in a performance.
An inquiry into how we look at light around us- as a medium, as a form of expression, as a sculpting material, and as a stirrer of perceptions. It is to understand the nature of different elements of light like direction, colour, and intensity which affect the mood of a scene in performance.
An exercise in directing our attention to everyday life and gleaning images that are enhanced by lighting and observing its effects on us emotionally and intellectually.
