Bangalore, September 29, 2020: KALAATMA 2020 the monsoon season’s unparalleled charm and its inspiration for music will be celebrated from 2nd – 4th October 2020. This series of digital concerts will feature eminent Indian classical musicians from Bangalore curated by renowned Violinist Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth and produced by Dhruv Arts, a UK and India based non-profit organization.
Dhruv Arts is a South-Asian arts organization based in East London, with a mission to communicate arts effectively into the community and use arts to create inter-generational and inter-community links. Dhruva Arts is the official producer of London International Arts Festival. KALAATMA 2020, asides from being a musical festival, aims to be a cultural congregation and bring together the artistic community amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The festival features 25 artists and the line-up includes senior artists and also provides a platform for up and coming artists from the city.
The festival features performances by Dr. TS Sathyavathi, Dr Hamsini Nagendra, Dr Ravindra Katoti, Dr Jyotsna Srikanth, Shadrach Solomon & Aishwarya Manikarnike & talk by Srikanth Sharma

2nd OCTOBER – FRIDAY
6:00pm- Nadaswaram recital by Bangalore B S Ramesh Babu and B Srinivas & Thavil by Ragu and Manjunath
3RD OCTOBER – SATURDAY
4:00 PM - Talk and presentation on monsoon ragas in Carnatic music by Dr TS Sathyavathi and disciples
with Dr Jyotsna Srikanth on violin & Renuka Prasad on mridangam
5:30 pm - 'Rain' an instrumental solo depiction by Shadrach Solomon on keyboards / piano
6:15 pm - Monsoon Raga Special North Indian classical harmonium recital by Ravindra Katoti
with Tejas Katoti on Harmonium and Gurumurthy Vaidhya on Tabla
4TH OCTOBER - SUNDAY
2:30 pm - Carnatic veena recital by Aishwarya Manikarnike with Rakshith Sharma on mridangam
3.30 pm - Carnatic violin recital by Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth with Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma - Mridangam and Vyasa Vittala – Khanjira
5:00 pm - Talk by Srikanth Sharma - Effectiveness in the propagation of Indian Classical Music in the 21st Century
6:00 pm - Carnatic Vocal recital Dr. Hamsini Nagendra with Mathoor Srinidhi – violin, HS Sudhindra - mridangam and ASN Swamy – khanjira
