KALAATMA 2021 the monsoon season’s unparalleled charm and its inspiration for music will be celebrated from 5th Aug to 29th August 2021. This series of digital concerts will feature eminent South Indian classical musicians from Bangalore and young aspiring musicians from the UK curated by renowned Violinist Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth and produced by Dhruv Arts, a UK and India based non-profit organization.
Dhruv Arts is a South-Asian arts organization based in East London, with a mission to communicate arts effectively into the community and use arts to create inter-generational and inter-community links. Dhruva Arts is the official producer of the London International Arts Festival. KALAATMA 2021, aside from being a musical festival, aims to be a cultural congregation and bring together the artistic community amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The festival features 31 artists and the line-up includes amazing artists and also provides a platform for up and coming artists from the city
The festival features performances by Shreekantham Nagendra Shastry, Vinay Sharva, Manasi Prasad, Varijashree Venugopal, upcoming vocalists Aditi Prahlad from Bangalore and Savita Sundaresan & Sarmpavi Uthayakumar from UK, a special concert on the Sumukha Veena by Sampagodu Vighnaraja a special violin-piano-khanjira concert by Dr Jyotsna Srikanth, Shadrach Solomon & Sunaad Anoor & a talk/presentation by Srikanth Sharma on ‘Carnatic music beyond the poison of popularity’
The concerts are presented thematically. Concerts dedicated to each of the Carnatic trinities, Mysore Vasudevacharya, a great composer from Mysore, along with a concert on rare ragas and compositions in Carnatic music are being presented.

5th AUGUST – Thursday Time : 11.30pm
Vinay Sharva presents a Carnatic vocal recital, compositions of Shyama Shastri, one of the Carnatic trinities with BK Raghu on the violin, Prashanth BS on Mridangam and Sunaad Anoor on Khanjira
8th AUGUTST – Sunday Time : 11.30pm
Manasi Prasad presents a Carnatic vocal recital, compositions of Mysore Vasudevachar, one of the foremost campers from Karnataka with Vaibhav Ramani on the violin and Anoor Vinod Shyam on mridangam
12th AUGUST – Thursday Time : 11.30pm
Savita Sundaresan presented a vocal concert on compositions of Muthuswami Dikshitar, one of the Carnatic trinities followed by a Carnatic vocal recital from Sarmpavi Uthayakumar. Both the vocalists are accompanied by Marthungi Uthayakumar on violin, Janakan Sri Rangan on mridangam and Pujenthan Sivagurunathan on khanjira
15th AUGUST – Sunday Time : 11.30pm
Varijashree Venugopal presents compositions of St Tyagaraja on vocals & flute with Mathoor Srinidhi on violin, BC Manjunath on mridangam and Guruprasanna on khanjira
19th AUGUST – Thursday Time : 11.30pm Talk on ‘Carnatic music beyond the poison of popularity - Number games in Carnatic, a case study’ by Srikanth Sharma followed by
Aditi Prahlad presenting a vocal concert with Karthikeya on violin and Rakshith Sharma on mridangam
22nd AUGUST – Sunday Time : 11.30pm IST
Sampagodu Vighnaraja presents Sumukha veena recital with Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth on the violin, Anirudh Bhat on mridangam and ASN Swamy on khanjira
26th AUGUST – Thursday Time : 11.30pm IST
Shreekantham Nagendra Shastry presents a concert of rare Karnatik ragas with Mathoor Srinidhi on violin, Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on mridangam and G. Lakshminarayana on morching
29th AUGUST – Sunday Time : 11.30pm IST- A special violin-piano-khanjira concert by Dr Jyotsna Srikanth on violin, Shadrach Solomon on piano and Sunaad Anoor on Khanjira
