Event Description

Kayaka (‘work’) is a project that MD Pallavi and I started about a year ago, to blend 11th-century Vachanas and other progressive Indian poetry with contemporary music. It’s been a joy working together, and we’d love to share some of this music with you.

What you can expect: 
Hard-hitting Kannada poetry, sung with the intensity and passion that Pallavi is known for; combined with my acoustic guitar arrangements, incorporating blues, jazz, folk, world music and lots of stuff in between.
