Event Description

The Crafts Council of Karnataka (CCK) has completed a two-month design development workshop with artisans from Kinhal, Koppal, focusing on blending traditional motifs with contemporary design to enhance finesse and marketability. Led by senior designer Sri Somasekhar and master craftsman Shri Ekappa, and partly funded by Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Pvt. Ltd., the initiative trained 18 craftspeople, providing new skills, designs, and stipends.

The results—around 50 products—will be showcased on 24 September at Sabha, Kamraj Road. The event will also feature an illustrated talk on Kinhal craft by Ms. Geetha Rao, former CCK chairperson, followed by an interactive session with Chitragars.
