Event Description

The Konnakol and Poetry workshop with Viveick Rajagopalan explores rhythm through language, blending the South Indian art of vocal percussion (Konnakol) with poetry. Participants will learn the basics of rhythmic syllables, discover how words carry natural beats, and experiment with creating their own rhythmic expressions. Using tracks from the Ta Dhom Project, the workshop breaks down how traditional rhythms inspire contemporary music. Through hands-on exercises, group collaborations, and jamming sessions, attendees will build confidence in improvisation and experience the joy of rhythm in everyday life.
