This performance is conceived as a poetic journey that weaves together interconnected choreographies like a garland — each piece a bloom strung with devotion, learning, and gratitude. It reflects the enduring bond between Guru and Disciple, and the timeless transmission of art through generations.

About Enakshi Sinha:

Enakshi Sinha, amongst the leading Odissi dancers in North America, now resides in Toronto. She cultivated a lifelong devotion to Indian Classical dance starting with Bharatanatyam followed by Odissi. She learnt this subtle form from Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Sharmila Biswas.

Enakshi is also trained in Mayurbhanj Chau, a martial art form from Orissa. At present, she is taking master classes on Natyashastra from Dr.Piyal Bhattacharya. Her active performance career spans about 19 years including performances in major festivals of India, Europe & North America as a soloist and her ensemble.

Few of her notable performances are, at the backdrop of Taj Mahal at Taj Mahotsav, 2018, in Embassy of India in Paris and Portugal, 2019 and in Khajuraho Festival in 2020, in Casa de la India in Spain for Embassy of India in 2023. 

She is also an ICCR and Sangeet Natak Academy empanelled artist. Enakshi is the Founder Chairperson and Artistic Director of her dance institution, ‘Mrudanga Centre for Performing Arts’, involved in the training of dancers in Toronto, and Windsor. Annually Mrudanga organizes Dance festival “UMANG” - Light of Hope in the Greater Toronto Area inviting acclaimed artists from North America and overseas to enrich the cultural site in Windsor, On.
