Krshala Dance Theatre will be organising a Kathak Elements-2022 in loving memory of Legendary Kathak Guru Late Pt. Birju Maharaj ji on October 9TH, 2022 at 5:00PM at Bangalore International Centre (BIC), Domlur, Bangalore.

Simran Godhwani renowned Kathak Dancer & Founder, Krshala Dance Theatre “expressed that she had the wonderful opportunity to learn with Mahara Ji because of her Guru Shri Murari Ji and be a part of the dance productions that was designed and choreographed by Maharaj Ji. He was a person of immense humility who taught us how to work on the subtleties and nuances of Kathak especially while doing abhinaya. Kathak Elements-2022 will showcase a range of various compositions of Maharaj Ji that I have learnt from him directly and also some of his other distinctive compositions that are unique to the Lucknow Gharana style of Kathak”.

Simran Godhwani disciples will explore and present some unique and exhilarating compositions of Kathak featuring some masterpieces of the Legendary Kathak Guru Late Pt. Birju Maharaj ji, showcasing intrinsic footwork, extensive pirouettes and alluring subtleties of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. The event will be accompanied by Live tabla and vocals featuring Kathak music from Indian cinema as well.
